The Win+X command on Windows 8 and higher is a very handy shortcut to navigation. The downside is that you may not want users accessing or even seeing such shortcuts. The easiest way to accomplish this is by hiding or deleting the shortcuts in the directory they reside in. Below is the solution.

  • Fist you will want to navigate to the directory of the shortcuts.
C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WinX
  • From here you can just right-click on any of the shortcuts and hide them. You can also delete them but there is really no need.
